The hotel was ideally situated for us close to the centre where we wanted to be and also near to the river. It was clean and modern and the staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. The secure parking was a definite bonus. This is a no frills property but even so, the rooms were comfortable, had air conditioning and the facilities were very good - perfect for anyone just wanting a bed for the night. There was a good bar/breakfast area although we didn’t use it. We would stay here again if in the area.

Reception was excellent. Tiago in particular is the kindest and most warm and accommodating. I came very early for my trip and he has accommodated me to stay and wait in comfort by the lobby while he checks availability for an early check in, which he very kindly arranged for me with only additional 10 euros. That was truly very helpful and I am most satisfied with such exceptional service by Ibis Coimbra! Thank you so much, and I shall remain a loyal client of your wonderful chain of hotels! :)

For instance, I drove from my country to Portugal and I was a bit confused about toll payment as the system is quite different to the one where I live. The guys at reception were extremely patient and helped me sort everything out.

Position was very good. Staff were helpful and spoke reasonable English whereas our Portuguese is very limited. Room was pleasant, not unduly large but clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was compact but very clean. Breakfast was a buffet, bit busy first morning but not that bad. Choice very good.

I had a lot of questions and i got all the answers with a nice smile from the receptionists, all of them are very friendly. The hotel is very clean and the location is great.
